Suspect At Large After Long Island Man Is Critically Injured In Shooting

A man is hospitalized in critical condition and a suspect is on the run after a shooting on Long Island, police said.

Officers from the Suffolk County Police Department responded to a 911 call at 7:49 p.m. on Sunday, May 2, where there was a report of a man who was shot on Emerald Lane South in North Amityville.

Upon arrival, officers found North Amityville resident Roland Jarvis, age 38, lying on the ground in a driveway after suffering multiple gunshot wounds.

Jarvis was rushed to the Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, where he is listed as being in critical condition.
